The Disney classic you’ll all learned to love is back but with a little twist.
The 2015 movie “Cinderella” is a remake that was inspired by the 1950 Disney animated classic original “Cinderella” movie.
Lily James stars as Ella, a beautiful, kind and loving person that was loved by all. After her father dies unexpectedly, she is left at the mercy of her cruel stepmother (Cate Blanchett) and stepsisters. They reduce her to being their maid where she’s forced to obey their every beck and call. They decide to name her “Cinderella.”
Despite her circumstances, she refuses to despair. She stays positives and continues to show kindness to those that are mean to her, determined to fulfill the promise she had made to her parents – that she will always be kind to those around her.
“Have courage and be kind,” her mother always reminded her.
A few words that made all her dreams come true.
An invitation to the grand ball gives Cinderella the hope that she may once again meet the dashing and handsome Prince Kit (Richard Madden) she met in the woods a few days earlier. Given strict orders by her evil stepmother that she is NOT to attend the ball, Cinderella fears she will never escape the life that has been handed to her. But after extending her kindness to a beggar woman, Cinderella’s dreams become a reality as the beggar woman is actually Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother (Helena Bonham Carter). With a twirl of her magic wand, Cinderella’s once raggedy dress becomes the most beautiful ball gown. And, of course, her old tattered shoes are transformed into sparkly glass slippers. The mice become horses, lizards become men and a pumpkin turns into a carriage designed for a Princess. Cinderella reunites with her Prince and the rest is history. “And They Lived Happily Ever After”.
Disney has selected an excellent cast for this movie. Allow yourself to be touched by magic and fairytale endings.
Cinderella 2015 is a magical and charming version of the original story where all ages can enjoy.
