Iams® ProActive Health™ Adult MiniChunks

Day 1: FurrTastic is what she said. Today I received our BzzKit that was filled with a 5-pound Iams ProActive Health MiniChunks dog food. When I first opened the box my pup came up running. I guess she could smell the food. She stuck her head into the box and tried to jump in. I was worried she was going to rip the bag so I took it out of the box and opened the bag. She was barking at this point, acting like she hasn’t eaten in days (when her food bowl was completely full in the other room). I took out the cute little measuring scooper that was included and followed the feeding guidelines. Since she wasn’t currently eating Iams we used the recommend transition method, 25% Iams and 75% current food, I emptied a bit out of her food bowl and filled about 2/3 cup of Iams dog food. I backed away and observed. She took a minute to ponder on what was different, was she going to like it, what was that good smell. She turned to look at me and turned back, the second her mouth hit the bowl she didn’t get up till the bowl was 3/4 empty. I haven’t seen her eat like this is years. That’s when I knew she was thinking, “This is FurrTastic.”
Day 3: Today she ate normally! I was quite worried because yesterday she didn’t eat much at all! She ate two whole bowls today and it was up to 50% of Iams. Tomorrow is day 4 and she will be completely eating Iams. I am so happy that she is having a good transition into eating Iams. I checked the price for this dog food at Walmart today and it was not too bad. It’s around $9 for a 5-pound bag. Also, Coupons.com has a $2/1 coupon that makes it even cheaper. Her old dog food was about $10 for a 8-pound bag so it’s a bit more expensive but this dog food is defiantly better for her. Once this bag is almost gone I will go pick one up at Walmart. I am so happy that I was able to test this product on my dog and know that she likes it! She is quite picky so I was worried!

A week later: It has now been a week and Boo is completely transitioned into Iams. She loves it and the pictures will tell you that! When we first got Iams, I was a bit concerned if she was going to like it, she is very picky. I am very glad that she likes this dog food. When reading the ingredients I saw that Iams has very good nutrients and even though it is more expensive that what I normally feed her, I am glad that she is eating food that is good for her. I am very glad that my dog was able to try and test this product and most importantly that she loves it. I have spoken with a co-worker that has a dog and often brings him into the office. I asked what kind of dog food she feeds him and I told her that maybe she should try Iams. I printed out a coupon and she said that she will try it next time her dog needs food. I can’t wait to hear if her dog likes it. Overall, this was a great experience and I can’t wait to see what other Iams products my pup will love.
