Ahh. That cup of Joe. Java. Coffee. Whatever you call it we all tend to love it. Some say they can’t start their day without it. Others just look at it as a pleasure, like some for ice cream. Regardless of your purpose behind having that cup of coffee — there is now an easy, Touch of a button way to make that morning cup.

Touch Beverages came to be when the convenience of single cup brewers didn’t prove to make the coffee-brewing world a better place. Yes, single serving brewers did provide the convenience of a coffee shop, having one cup of a selected flavor brewed at a time, but they missed the mark on several key features: most were loud, took a long time to heat up, weren’t hot enough, and delivered uneven or unbalanced flavors. Touch decided to change all that with a new introduction to the single serving coffee maker world with the T414S Residential Brewer.

While single-serve coffee systems continue to gain popularity, there have always been drawbacks: weak coffee, the ability to brew only a small cup at a time, and most notably, flawed coffee capsule designs and water heating systems. Touch Coffee & Beverages is re-inventing the single-serve coffee platform with the release of its ground-breaking Touch T414S brewer and re-engineered capsules. Not only do Touch’s easy-to-use systems brew superior-tasting, coffee shop-quality coffee in significantly less time than current machines, but they are also open platform. This means that the brewers are fully compatible with any cup at all—from existing Keurig K-Cups to generic cups, in addition to Touch’s ground-breaking XBold Cups, XLarge Cups and reusable Refill Jumbo Cup.

According to the National Coffee Association USA, the brewing water temperature for a good cup of coffee is “between 195-205 degrees Fahrenheit for optimal extraction.” The Touch T414S brewer can reach this ideal temperature by using its flash heating system and starts brewing in under 20 seconds after being off all night. Plus, Touch heats just enough water for the selected cup size as opposed to the entire tank of water, and the machine turns itself off after using, making it more energy efficient than its competitors.

“We have incorporated our innovative technology to our single-serve system—and the single-serve cups that accompany it—with one goal in mind: the perfect cup, every time,” says CEO Sam Kim. “Not only did we succeed at designing a machine that produces coffeehouse-quality coffee, but we have also made it convenient, intuitive, quiet and quick with a high-end design.”

This sleek new coffee making contraption is a vast improvement on the original K-Cup brewing machines. Touch has been sure to improve upon all the necessary needs of currently available machines to bring top-notch flavor and technical performance to the home coffee machine. They started by making it compatible with many types of single portion coffee pods, including K-Cups, and Touch XBold Cup and XLarge Cup. It allows you to choose your strength (mild, medium or bold) and cup size (6, 8, 10, 12 or 14 ounces.) It has an extra large water tank, which holds 90 ounces, and can brew a cup of coffee in a minute, even from a cold start.

To put it to the test, Touch had the renowned Jim Knutson, Ph.D., to evaluate the T414S Brewer alongside two other single serve brewers, made by another famous manufacturer. The side-by-side results can barely compare; Touch’s machine beat out the competition with its wider skill set and abilities to produce hotter, more flavorful coffee without all the noise, and all while using less energy.
